More than $74,000 was allocated for the implementation of the project.
“We will provide two types of services. The first is plant care, harvesting, and drip irrigation. The second is training in the development of agrarian entrepreneurial initiatives. With the support of local and regional councils, the USAID DOBRE program, water reservoirs were installed for the irrigation system, a sectional fence was installed, connected to the power supply network, the soil was prepared, a drip irrigation system was installed, and a demonstration plantation of Canadian blueberry seedlings was laid,” says the head of the village Malaya Kamenka Mykola Hryshuk.
According to the head of the Piaditsa community, Pyotr Gaideichuk, 16 hectares of land have been allocated for economic activities in the village council, which can provide excellent conditions for a profitable business. In the Piaditsa community, there are all favorable conditions for the cultivation of blueberries, since the berry requires the appropriate acidity of the soil.
“I am glad that the Ukrainian agricultural sector now has access to such world practices as benchmark analysis. I think that this project is useful for every company in the agricultural sector, regardless of location and scale. I recommend everyone to join!”, says the general director of IMK Aleks Lissitsa.
