From January 1, 2023, and every year thereafter, the amount of childbirth allowance will be increased by the forecast growth rate of the consumer price index, which is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine
On May 26, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a Bill on state assistance to families with children to increase the amount of childbirth assistance for submission to the Verkhovna Rada.The document was developed by the Ministry of social policy in pursuance of the Decree of the President of Ukraine "On urgent measures to reform and strengthen the State" to increase state support for families with children, in particular by increasing the amount of childbirth assistance adopted by the Prime Minister of Ukraine.The Bill proposes to increase from January 1, 2022, the amount of state assistance at the birth of a child from 41,280 UAH (1500 USD) to 50,000 UAH (1817 USD). Payment of assistance will be made once in the amount of 25% of the total amount of assistance, the remaining amount of assistance will be paid over the next 36 months in equal installments in the manner prescribed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Accordingly, the amount of assistance in adopting a child will increase.
