The agreement is of a framework nature and will ensure the acceleration of the conclusion of agreements and contracts with the Credit Institution for Recovery (KfW). These are projects, preliminary agreements on which were reached during intergovernmental negotiations.
The ratification of the Agreement will create a legal basis for the possibility of attracting by the government of Ukraine from KfW concessional loan financing for a total amount of up to €214.55 million and grant financing of up to €38.9 million.
The Agreement defines a generalized list of investment projects in the field of energy, infrastructure, entrepreneurship, etc., grants to support investment projects and individual grants that will be used to finance projects in the field of education and local government development, and the basic conditions for attracting KfW resources.
