Today, the minister of foreign affairs of Denmark came to Ukraine. Earlier, he visited Irpen almost immediately after her liberation from the Russian occupiers. On the first day of autumn, Eppe Kofod came to the capital. This he told personally on Twitter and even shared photos from the Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square — ed.).
The politician mentioned that Denmark greatly assists the Ukrainian military and people. Denmark was one of the countries that advocated prohibiting issuing tourist visas for citizens with Russian passports. Also, the friendly country has already provided Ukraine with €400 million to purchase military equipment, equipment, and ammunition. Copenhagen says that it is ready to continue to help Ukraine fight for independence.
"Happy to be back in beautiful Kyiv to underline Denmark's unwavering support to the Ukrainian people. We have provided more than €400 million in military support so far — and more will come. We are in this for the long haul. Slava Ukraini!" wrote the head of the Danish MFA.
An hour ago, the meeting with the president of Ukraine started.
"Inspiring meeting with Ukrainian president Zelenskyy. Your leadership has animated action and resolve — in Ukraine & abroad. Humbled to receive the Ukrainian Order of Merit. Will keep working tirelessly for a free & prosperous future for Ukraine to return the honour," Eppe Kofod commented his first meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
