Russian-Kazakh filmmaker Timur Bekmambetov condemns the actions of the Russian government and the military. He said that because of the war against Ukraine, the world fell apart overnight.
The director also said that he had worked on a documentary about the war between Russia and Ukraine. He also supported the decision of world cinema to ban Russian films in the world.
"Perhaps now is not the most appropriate time for festivals in general, while blood is pouring in Ukraine. Because the red carpets of the festival have a new meaning," said Timur Bekmambetov.
