The Netherlands Allocates €110 Mln for the Ukrainian Energy System Restoration

The total contribution of the Netherlands to the restoration of the critical infrastructure of our country is €180 mln

Minister of internal trade and development cooperation of the Netherlands Liesje Schreinemacher announced on Twitter that Ukraine would be provided with an additional amount for reconstructing the Ukrainian energy system. This is an extremely important contribution to the recovery of Ukraine, especially in the face of the approaching winter.

"Ukraine is preparing for a rough winter. Half of its energy supply systems are destroyed. Ukrainians will face gruelling conditions in the coming months. Holland will provide an extra €110 million (€180 million total) to help with energy supply & shelter this winter. We #StandWithUkraine, Liesje Schreinemacher.

The funds will be deposited into the account of the International Fund Ukraine, which was created to finance the purchase of equipment and weapons for the Ukrainian army. The Dutch government also decided to participate in the training program for Ukrainian soldiers in Britain.
