The Occupiers Use Rarity Missiles Against Ukrainians

Russian Federation starts using Soviet-made missiles in the war against Ukraine

The general directorate of intelligence of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine made a statement about the new danger for Ukrainians. The Russian side is on the verge of a deficit. There was a deficit in the field of high-precision cruise missiles. Their occupiers used them from the first day of the offensive on Ukrainian territory. On May 9, the enemy began to use Soviet X-22 missiles. Their first use is recorded in the Donetsk region.

X-22 missiles were produced in the 1970s. The paper project of such missiles was ready in 1950 and then changed little. It is impossible to call these weapons modern or high-precision after 52 years of production. It turns out that the "second army of the world" in 3 months of the war showed all its "potential".

However, such missiles threaten even more of Ukraine's civilians.

"Air defense may not even destroy such a missile. But this missile may fail its engine when it flies over a city or village and falls on civilian homes. That's the risk. It's not Caliber or Iskander, it's Soviet junk, but it's hazardous. For example, an X-22 missile weighs almost a ton. This is a terrible weapon, but it is not precise — its deviation from the target hundreds of meters," said the military and political expert Oleksandr Kovalenko.

Scarce and outdated missiles will not be able to bring Russia victory. But they can cripple hundreds more Ukrainian lives.
