KrAZ is a factory specializing in the manufacture of trucks sold not only in the country but also abroad. In February, the company's official website announced the preparation of a new car.
In the last 10 years, KrAZ has reduced the carrying capacity of trucks from 35 tons to 5 tons. One of the few light automobiles will be a new project. The model is created for use in the urban cycle. The truck will be equipped with different superstructures and a powerful engine. However, the exact figures (engine size, speed, size, cost) neither the official website nor the factory director Roman Cherniak reveal.
"We have developed the city KrAZ from the segment of delivery trucks. We plan somewhere for the summer another model of light load capacity - in the region of 5 tons. Believe me, we used to have a technology cycle for big machines, and it was tough to switch to smaller ones. We are buying new, modern equipment for this purpose. We are working on this to expand the range of machines to be produced," it's all that said, Cherniak.
Emphasize that the plant has recently modernized some parts of production and still does everything to produce modern cars. For example, a city truck with a lightweight axle is less than five to six months away. Since the director has given plans for the release, it should occur in the middle of the year.
