The Sweden Presidency to the EU Council Confirmed the Summit in Kyiv

On February 3, the Ukraine-EU summit will be held in Ukraine

After accepting the reins of government in the European Union Council from Czechia, Sweden continued to assist Ukraine in joining the European Union. According to the permanent representative of the European Union in Sweden Lars Danielsson, this will also be discussed during the next Ukraine-EU meeting, which will be held on February 3 in Kyiv.

"Ukraine and military aggression against Ukraine will dominate everything that Sweden will do during its EU presidency," Lars Danielsson. The politician added that the EU has done much for the Ukrainian future, "however, more must be done so that the process of support — humanitarian, financial, military — does not stop."

It is known that during the summit, the 10th package of sanctions against Russia and countries/private and legal entities will also be discussed.

Danielsson emphasized that he and his team will make every effort to bring to justice those involved in war crimes against Ukraine. The diplomat also plans to create a base for using the assets of the aggressor country under the sanctions as reparations to Ukraine.
