On January 19, the United Kingdom signed The Tallinn Pledge, according to which it undertook to "collectively pursue delivery of an unprecedented set of donations including main battle tanks, heavy artillery, air defence, ammunition, and infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine's defence."
Ukraine became the first to announce the transfer of offensive weapons to Ukraine directly — Challenger 2 tanks. Yesterday, The Tallinn Pledge published a list of weapons that Ukraine is ready to transfer for the defence of Ukraine.
- Challenger 2 tanks with armoured recovery and repair vehicles;
- AS90 self-propelled 155 mm guns;
- Hundreds more armoured and protected vehicles;
- A manoeuvre support package;
- Dozens of un-crewed aerial systems;
- 100.000 artillery rounds;
- Hundreds of sophisticated missiles, including GMLRS missiles, Starstreak air defence missiles, and medium-range air defence missiles;
- 600 units of Brimstone anti-tank ammunition;
- A package for the modernization of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles available in Ukraine.
In addition, in 2023, the UK and 9 international partners plan to train 20.000 soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and support the Fund for Ukraine with a budget of more than £200 million.
