The US Allocates Another $600 Mln Military Assistance to Ukrainians

On September 15, the website of the US State Department announced the provision of another tranche to Ukraine to help defeat Russia

United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced the transfer of another military aid package to Ukraine. It is essential that the HIMARS war is included in the package, thanks to which Ukraine was able to go on the counteroffensive. Also in the package will be shells, counter-artillery radars, demining equipment and much more.

"Pursuant to a delegation of authority from the president, I am authorizing our twenty-first drawdown of US arms and equipment for Ukraine since September 2021. This $600 million drawdown includes additional arms, munitions, and equipment from US Department of Defense inventories," Antony Blinken.

Together with this package, the total US aid to Ukraine is about $15.8 billion. Ukrainians help more than 50 countries, and according to Blinken, this assistance is carefully calibrated and provided in accordance with the needs of Ukraine and the situation at the front.

"With admirable grit and determination, the people of Ukraine are defending their homeland and fighting for their future," Antony Blinken.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the White House and everyone who takes part in strengthening Ukrainian positions on the battlefield and "at the negotiating table when the time is right."

"I praise the decision by the president of the United States to allocate up to $600 million as another defence aid package for Ukraine. Our interaction proved its efficiency on the front. Ukraine striving for freedom. And with the solidarity & sincere support of partners, it amazes the whole world. Together we'll win!" Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
