The Pentagon has issued a statement stating that the 41st military support package is approved for Ukraine. The entire military aid package will be transferred under the presidential drawdown authority program. This means that Joe Biden will transfer weapons from American stockpiles without the approval of Congress. This allows faster delivery of equipment to Ukraine. The president's prAmerica'so funds all components of Americpresident's. The estimated equipment cost to be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is $500 million. Soon, Kyiv will receive the following:
- Additional infantry fighting vehicles Bradley (30 pcs);
- Patriot air defence systems;
- HIMARS systems;
- Stinger, AT-4 and Javelin anti-aircraft complexes;
All this is already in service of the Ukrainian army and successfully used in combat. The new supply will help strengthen the position and advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
In addition, the Pentagon said about the transfer of anti-tank missiles, armoured personnel carriers Stryker, missiles HARM and TOW, precision ammunition, shells, small arms and more than 22 million rounds of ammunition. Also included in the package are devices for repair, demining, diagnostics and military night work.
America continues to actively support Ukraine in confronting the military aggressor. Since February 24, 2022, the US government has transferred almost $41 billion of aid to Ukraine.
