Since March 16, the system operator of the Ukrainian electric network Ukrenergo has become a member of the energy European Union. The Ukrainian company has completed the process of unification of domestic and European energy systems. It is told by the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Ukrainian and European power systems have been merged. Now our electricity flows to Europe and European to Ukraine. Thanks to EU members, personally president of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and European commissioner for energy Kadri Simson and all those thanks to whom we now have a unified power system," wrote Zelenskyy at his Twitter.
Now Europe can count on Ukrainian energy sources, and Ukraine can count on European ones.
