On August 24, Independence Day of Ukraine, Boris Johnson came to Kyiv to visit Volodymyr Zelenskyy. It turned out that the British politician not only congratulated the president of Ukraine but also told them what could happen if Ukraine ceases to exist because of the Russian dictator. At the briefing, the UK prime minister said that no one can live in safety if Russia will break Ukraine.
"If Putin wins, this means "green light" for any global autocrat. It will mean that everything can be changed by force. You know, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, British politicians, all parties promise you that they will speak with one voice of support for Ukraine. This will be economic support, in particular," said Johnson.
He also noted that he is proud of the United Kingdom's assistance to Ukraine. According to him, aid cannot decrease but will only increase. At the same time, Johnson recalled the already existing merits of the Ukrainian and British military.
"And today, I said that we will give more ammunition to Ukraine. We have prepared 10.000 Ukrainian soldiers together with our allies. People from different parts of life go to Ukraine to fight. This inspires and gives confidence that Ukraine will win," said Johnson.
