This year, for the first time in 25 years, the UK is hosting the Eurovision contest. On May 9-13, Liverpool will host Eurovision on behalf of the winner — Ukraine. Great Britain took 2nd place and decided to help Ukraine, which relocated the Eurovision site due to a military threat.
On April 26, The King and The Queen Consort at the M&S Bank Arena jointly opened the Eurovision stage. Their Majesties also greeted the hosts of the upcoming contest, one of which is the soloist of the Ukrainian band The Hardkiss Yulia Sanina.
