At the beginning of the last whole week of January, prime ministers of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal and Carl Nehmer, had an official conversation about the European perspective of Ukraine.

Ukraine will become a significant exporter of green" rel="dofollow">energy to European countries. Therefore, an active preparation process for cooperation with European countries, including Austria, is underway. Ukraine needs to get the political support of Vienna in the implementation of the project on green hydrogen production in the country. The chancellor became acquainted with the "green" project during the conversation.

The next item of the conversation was the exchange of goods between countries. The interlocutors discussed the increase in trade turnover and the relaxation of controls.

"At the end of last year, trade between the countries amounted to more than $1.6 billion. We set ourselves an ambitious goal to increase trade turnover to $2 billion in 2022," Shmyhal said.

The business telephone conversations ended with an invitation to the Ukrainian-Australian business forum. Denys Shmyhal invited the chancellor of Austria to participate in the annual event. The chancellor accepted the invitation and reiterated his intention to come to Ukraine on a business visit.
