UK to Include Paveway IV Aerial Bombs in New Military Aid Package to Ukraine

The United Kingdom is set to include Paveway IV aerial bombs in its latest military aid package to Ukraine, according to BBC correspondent Jonathan Beale

These highly accurate laser-guided aerial bombs, which entered service with the Royal Air Force in 2008, weigh 230 kg and have a maximum range of 30 km.

The Paveway IV has been recently used by British forces during operations against Iranian proxy military facilities in Yemen, demonstrating its effectiveness in combat scenarios.

This decision is part of the UK's largest military aid commitment to Ukraine, amounting to 500 million pounds (over 617 million dollars). The funds from this package will also cover the supply of additional ammunition, missiles, and drones to Ukraine.

The announcement of this significant support came during a telephone conversation on Tuesday, April 23, between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The British leader reaffirmed the UK's strong commitment to supporting Ukraine's defense capabilities with this substantial aid package.
