Ukraine 63% Closer to EU Membership

The prime minister of Ukraine said that the state has fulfilled 63% of the requirements for integration into the EU

On July 15, at a meeting of the commission for coordinating the implementation of the Association agreement between Ukraine and the EU, Denys Shmyghal announced the success of our state on the way to the EU.

"Overall progress in implementing the Association Agreement with the European Union has increased to 63%. 54% was in 2020 and 60% in 2021, and we have 63% as of the beginning of this year. In fact, in 2020, the increase was 10%, in 2021 — 9%. A total of 15% growth over the past 2 years," Denys Shmyhal.

Dynamics of the fulfillment of obligations by areas:

  • Financial Services +26%;
  • Taxation +24%;
  • Public Health +17%;
  • Energy +13%;
  • Transport +12%;
  • Ecology +11;
  • Agriculture +10%.

"Of course, this year, I want to work much more, more ambitiously," the minister Shmyhal.

Today, the coordination map for fulfilling the conditions of the Integration agreement was approved. According to Shmyhal, this plan includes amendments to 92 state regulations related to EU membership.
