Minister’s Comment
Vitaliy Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, emphasized:
"This law is not just about resource protection—it's about building economic potential, preventing illegal fishing, and ensuring Ukrainian citizens have access to high-quality, safe aquatic products."
The law is expected to boost transparency, reduce corruption risks in the fishery sector, and enhance trade with the European Union, particularly in line with Ukraine’s commitments under the Association Agreement.
This legal change will benefit both businesses involved in the fisheries sector and consumers, as it ensures better quality control and strengthens Ukraine’s position in international seafood markets.
