Ukraine and Denmark Launch Joint Weapons Production: Details of the Agreement

The new Ukrainian-Danish defense partnership includes technology exchange, EU financial support, and joint projects under the Build with Ukraine initiative

Strategic Partnership in Defense Production

Cooperation between Ukraine and Denmark in the defense sector has entered a new phase — the joint implementation of key military projects has officially begun.
According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the agreement envisions Ukrainian defense companies working directly with Danish partners to launch production lines in Denmark, exchange defense technologies, and receive EU financial support.

“The signing of the Memorandum is a major step toward creating a new European security architecture and strengthening the capabilities of our defense industries. The joint products developed through this cooperation will directly support Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” — Minister of Defense of Ukraine said.

Focus Areas of Cooperation

The document outlines several key directions for the Ukrainian-Danish defense partnership:

  • Joint production of weapons and military equipment;

  • Technology exchange and joint R&D programs;

  • Cooperation in drone defense and electronic warfare systems;

  • Implementation of strategic projects within the Build with Ukraine framework.

Both sides agreed that experience gained in countering Russian drones and developing modern defense technologies will be shared to improve collective capabilities and resilience.

Strengthening European Security

The Ministry of Defense emphasized that cooperation with Denmark is part of a broader strategy to deepen defense-industrial alliances with EU and NATO partners.

This step not only enhances Ukraine’s own defense capacity but also contributes to the security of the entire European region.
Denmark, one of Ukraine’s steadfast supporters, continues to expand its involvement in joint production, training, and technology transfer projects.
