Kyiv, October 17—President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine and Greece have signed a bilateral agreement on cooperation in the field of security. The agreement was formalized on Thursday, October 17, marking a significant step in strengthening defense ties between the two nations.
Under the terms of the agreement, Greece will assist Ukraine in its transition to operating F-16 fighter jets. This collaboration includes providing additional resources to accelerate the training of Ukrainian pilots and maintenance personnel for the advanced aircraft.
President Zelensky stated:
"Today, an Agreement on cooperation in the field of security was signed with Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Greece is ready to provide for our country's most urgent defense needs in the future. It will offer additional resources to expedite the training of our F-16 pilots and maintenance staff."
