Ukraine and Poland Will Build a Cargo Terminal on a Common Border

EBRD may partially credit the project for an additional terminal on Rawa-Russka-Hrebenne

The head of the Border control organisation department of Ukraine, Ihor Matviichuk, said that Warsaw is ready to create a common customs pass for cargo vehicles between the 2 borders. The project is being implemented near checkpoint Rawa-Russka-Hrebenne. The new custom point will be designed to reduce the load above the border crossing point. Currently, Rawa-Russka-Hrebenne can work with no more than 600 cars per day. The new terminal will be used for trucks and will be able to withstand loads of up to 2.400 vehicles.

Poland has already prepared the way to the new checkpoint. Now Ukraine, for our part, should build the road to a new border crossing. It is noted that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development may finance this construction by providing a loan.
