Key Government Decision
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a new procedure for maintaining registers of gambling organizers in line with the law “On State Regulation of Activities Related to the Organization and Conduct of Gambling”. The decision was adopted at a government meeting on Tuesday, as reported by Taras Melnychuk, the Government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada.
The update is aimed at ensuring greater transparency, control, and efficiency in the gambling sector while reducing administrative costs through register optimization.
What Registers Will Be Maintained
The government approved procedures for maintaining and updating the following registers:

Register of gambling organizers in casino establishments

Register of organizers of online casinos

Register of organizers of bookmaking activities

Register of organizers of slot machine halls

Register of organizers of online poker games
-
Register of persons with restricted access to gambling establishments and/or gambling participation
Each register will include mechanisms for:

adding or excluding organizers,

updating information,
-
correcting errors and technical changes.
Optimization Through Integration
A key innovation is the optimization of registers by merging them into a single information and communication system. This step will:

allow more effective monitoring of gambling organizers and restricted persons,
