Ukraine Began to Earn on the Sale of Electricity

From March 2022, export revenue in the ENTSO-E network increased 1.5 times

The State customs service of Ukraine reported that in 6 months of this year, Ukraine increased the volume and, accordingly, the profit from the export of electricity to EU countries by 1.5 times. It is reported that during this period, Ukraine exported energy worth $169.9 million, compared to $108 million in the same period of 2021.

"28.8% ($48.9 million) of export revenue is accounted for by the electricity supply to Slovakia. About 27.4% ($46.6 million) of the total volume of electricity exports goes to Poland and 23.7% ($40.4 million) to Hungary. Exports to other countries amounted to $34 million," State customs service of Ukraine.

We remind you that since March 16, Ukraine has been synchronized with the European ENTSO-E. According to specialists' forecasts, Ukraine may earn about €1.5 billion annually from the export of excess electricity.
