Markarova highlighted that significant progress has been made, with meetings between Ukrainian and American businesses involved in different aspects of the Patriot system's production. "We are actively working on this. It's essential for us to at least produce a significant part of the components, if not the entire system, especially considering the ongoing threat from Russia even after our victory," Markarova stated.
Additionally, she emphasized the broader scope of Ukraine's defense production needs, mentioning recent discussions held in Washington. These discussions involved Ukrainian government officials and focused on investment in the military-industrial complex and collaborations involving rare earth metals, essential for various defense applications.
