A Ukrainian defense company has developed a new loitering munition named Stick M12. The announcement was made by United Military Solutions, highlighting a significant advancement in Ukraine's defense technology.
The company reports that the Stick M12 drone can fly distances up to 70 kilometers and remain airborne for more than an hour. Designed in the "Krylo" (wing) configuration, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) features a single electric motor located at the rear, with a combat unit positioned at the front.
According to United Military Solutions, the drone is intended for engaging stationary targets, armored vehicles, and enemy personnel deployment locations.
In June, a batch of these loitering munitions was delivered to the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. The shipment included 10 drones, costing donors 1.05 million hryvnias (approximately 100,000 hryvnias per Stick M12).
Additionally, the first combat drones produced in Lithuania for the Lithuanian Army and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have arrived at military warehouses. Lithuania's Finance Ministry has announced plans to allocate €36 million to expand the capacity of the state-owned small arms manufacturer Giraitės Ginkluotės Gamykla (Giraitė Armament Factory, or GGG) by 2027.
