A year before the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the price of natural honey rose from Ukrainian apiaries. However, in 2022, this did not prevent countries that buy honey in Ukraine, continue to cooperate. At the end of the year, Ukraine received almost 122 million from the sale of honey. At the same time, Europe purchased a product for $120 million. Belgium and Spain imported honey for the same amount – $6 million. Italy spent $7 million on the product from Ukrainian apiaries, the USA – $10 million, France – $11 million, Poland – $24 million; Germany – $38 million.
$1.7 million came to Ukraine from the sale of honey to UAE, Japan, Israel, Turkey, Somalia, and Qatar.
It is noted that in recent years apiaries bring Ukraine stable income. Honey is in demand worldwide. So, Ukrainian honey is now useful not only in the field of health but also in the financial sector of the country.
