Germany, UAE and Netherlands lead ECA-supported Ukrainian exports

Furniture, dairy processing and metal windows became the main supported categories in the first half of 2026

Export insurance in action

Ukrainian producers exported goods worth more than 7.5 billion hryvnias in the first half of 2026 with support from the Export Credit Agency. The strongest regional result came from Khmelnytskyi region, where companies delivered 4.6 billion hryvnias of insured exports. Kyiv companies reached 929.1 million hryvnias, while Chernihiv region added 553 million hryvnias.

Markets and sectors

The geography of insured exports covered twenty-four countries. Germany led with 1.2 billion hryvnias, followed by the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Poland and Hungary. The largest supported activity was furniture manufacturing, also at 4.6 billion hryvnias.

Other important sectors included milk processing, butter and cheese production, transport support services, metal doors and windows, and wallpaper manufacturing. For investors, the list shows that Ukraine's export resilience is not limited to raw materials: processed goods and manufactured products are moving through insured channels.

Why it matters

ECA support reduces payment and contract risk for exporters during wartime. It helps producers keep jobs, maintain currency inflows and preserve foreign market positions even when logistics, energy and financing remain difficult.
