Andriy Gerus, head of the Energy committee of the Verkhovna Rada, said that Ukraine had taken the 2nd place in Europe in terms of the cost of electricity on the spot market: a day ahead MWh of Ukrainian electricity costs ≈ $80 (₴2,930.74 at the exchange rate of ₴36.56 per $1). Italy is in the 1st place — ₴4.460 per 1 MWh.
Gerus added that in 10 EU countries, the average day-ahead market price went negative. Ukraine has something to work on. And the restoration of the energy system, the stabilisation of the economy and the transition to green energy are our tools.
