On August 5, Ukraine applied for membership in NATO's Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence

"Ukraine has applied for a supply of cyber defense to the NATO center," the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

Ukraine has submitted an official power supply to the CCDCOE of NATO, which is based in Tallinn (Estonia).

As reported on the website of the NSDC of Ukraine: "On behalf of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksii Danylov, the Ukrainian side made an official request to join the CCDCOE."

On August 3, members of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine paid a diplomatic visit to the CCDCOE office in Tallinn. The purpose of a number of meetings was to discuss ways of developing bilateral relations between Ukraine and Estonia in the field of cybersecurity.

“Involving Ukraine in the CCDCOE could be an important step towards full NATO membership,” said Natalia Tkachuk, the head of the Security and Cyber ​​Security Service of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council.

The head of the State Center for Defense Investments (RKIK) of Estonia, Kusti Salm, announced the positive attitude of his country in promoting Ukraine's accession to the CCDCOE. Margus Matt, deputy head of the RKIK, noted NATO's interest in Ukraine's experience in combating Russian cyber attacks. Matt also recalled the unchanged position of Estonia in supporting Ukraine in its Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

“The parties agreed that an effective step towards Ukraine's accession to the CCDCOE could be the involvement of Ukrainian experts in the work within the CCDCOE thematic groups,” said the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
