The Ministry of foreign affairs of Ukraine reported that America at all levels continues to support Ukraine. Americans have placed in the largest city of the country a park of real sunflowers in honour of the Unity Day of Ukraine.
Ukraine appreciates this holiday because it is the day of the proclamation of the reunification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic into a united Ukrainian State. It has been celebrated since 1919. Also, on January 22, 105 years ago, a station wagon was signed, proclaiming the full independence of the Ukrainian Republic from Soviet Russia.
Therefore, such a step by the US and New York governments is useful for Ukraine. This means that the country that is being destroyed by Russia is perceived by the world as really existing and independent.
Moreover, the organizers of the field of sunflowers in the centre of New York City invited people to take pictures in the garden and to post photos on social networks in support of Ukraine with the signature "UnifyUkraine". It is noted that the garden has 300 flowers. This symbolizes every day of the war before the opening of the exhibition. The organizers chose sunflowers for support action because this flower is one of the Ukrainian cultural symbols and since the beginning of the war become a symbol of the Ukrainian struggle against Russia.
