A distinctive trend in 2021 was the strengthening of the positions of meat products of Ukrainian producers in the international market thanks to chicken meat.
Ukraine with a figure of 1 million 375 thousand tons takes 15th place in the ranking.
In October 2019, Ukraine and the EU agreed to double the quota for the export of poultry meat to European markets. And in 2021, forecasts for the export of chicken meat increased to 400 thousand tons.
The main markets for Ukrainian chicken are Saudi Arabia, the Netherlands, and Slovakia. In general, these countries have accumulated about 59% of Ukraine's meat sales on the global market. Last on the list is Vietnam, whose volume of the product reached 1.1 million tons of product last year. A significant place is occupied by China (15 million tons), Brazil (14.1 million tons).
