Ukraine Increases Ice Cream Export to the World

The hot summer is helping the ice cream industry make big money due to a significant increase in demand. In general, in 2021, the export of Ukrainian ice cream increased by 20% and reached the level of about 1,080 tons.

Such indicators indicate the high quality of Ukrainian products, said the head of the State Food Safety Service Vladyslava Magaletska.

In general, Ukraine exports its frozen desserts to more than 50 countries. Among the countries that buy the most — Moldova, China, Israel, Bulgaria, Lithuania, and the Czech Republic.

Today, Ukraine produces 150,000 tons of ice cream a year, offering consumers at home and abroad almost 900 different flavors.

Recall that in 2020, sales of popular frozen desserts with taste reached $62 billion. Joining the global trend, Ukraine exported 6,750 tons of ice cream in 2020, which is almost twice as much as in 2016.
