Ukraine Initiates PACE Resolution About Genocide of Ukrainians

International Court of Justice will consider the attempts to destroy the cultural identity of Ukraine

Member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Yevheniia Kravchuk said that a resolution will be created regarding the genocide of the Ukrainian people by the RF. The politician believes that the actions of the occupiers aimed at the destruction and theft of historical monuments, paintings, and gold, are the destruction of cultural identity — and therefore, part of the genocide of the Ukrainian people. Thus, such actions by the occupiers should also be brought before an international tribunal.

"We see that more than 540 historical, cultural, and religious monuments were destroyed by Russia. But there is also the destruction of cultural identity: Ukrainian books are thrown out of libraries, ban the Ukrainian language in educational institutions. And children taken out of Ukraine must learn Russian," Kravchuk explained her position.

PACE will work legally to bring every war criminal to justice. Perhaps the Russian soldier does not understand the value of the stolen gold from the museum. For him, it is just a jewel, money. But the leadership that gives such orders understands that it has a devastating historical and cultural dimension.

Earlier, the Parliamentary Assembly of The Council of Europe recognized the Russian regime as a terrorist. An independent UN commission presented the first evidence of the Russian war crimes that will be used in an international court.
