Herman Galushchenko noted that Ukraine and Lithuania have friendly relations in all spheres, including energy. "We have a great future for cooperation and interaction in the energy sector," the minister said.
The Ministry of energy is interested in cooperation with the Lithuanian side, in particular, in the development of bioenergy.
"Ukraine has significant bioenergy potential. At the same time, the introduction of biomass capacity requires the creation of a competitive and transparent solid biofuels market. Therefore, Lithuania's experience in the operation of the Baltpool exchange will be very useful."
Herman Galushchenko said that one of the key goals of the ministry of energy of Ukraine is to synchronize the Ukrainian energy system with the European ENTSO-E system.
"Synchronization of the unified energy system is not only about energy security. Ukraine is heading to the European Union, so we are already doing everything to feel more comfortable in the European Union," the minister said.
