Ukraine Introduced Sanctions Against Bashar Assad

On March 18, the corresponding order of the president was posted on the official website of the government

Volodymyr Zelenskyy's order introduced sanctions against Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and 300 other individuals in Syria and Russia. In addition, sanctions were imposed against Shahed aviation industries company and Shahed aviation industries research centre and 139 other companies involved in terror against Ukraine.

The economic package of sanctions completely disables the business activity of the specified individuals and legal entities on the territory of Ukraine, stops existing and future activities, blocks assets and the fulfilment of obligations regarding. The sanctions will be valid for 10 years.

We remind you that earlier Assad called the territories of Ukraine annexed by Russia "the new borders of the RF" and declared that he recognises these new borders.

"I say that these are Russian territories, and even if there was no war, these are historically Russian territories," Assad told to RIA Novosti.
