More than 76,000 foreign students from 155 countries study in Ukraine. However, the entry system is too complicated for them. Therefore, the Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of education and science are launching a single interdepartmental platform and electronic office for entrants for admission of foreign students to Ukrainian universities. Today the government adopted a relevant resolution.
There are currently many barriers for prospective international students in the admissions process. Today, the system in Ukraine is so complex that it is easier for a foreign entrant to either find an intermediary to submit documents or choose another country to study. It is almost impossible to do it yourself.
From now on, foreign applicants will be able to submit the necessary information to enter online. After that, based on the results of consideration of the submitted applications, foreigners can get a description of the educational offer — offers for education. And in case of its confirmation — an electronic invitation to study or internship in Ukraine.
The issuance of an invitation may require the approval of the competent authorities, this also takes place in the electronic system. After that, the applicant can apply for a visa. The foreigner sees the whole process of processing his documents on the platform and the decision to issue a visa.
