Ukraine Nationalizes 903 Russian Objects

The parliament of Ukraine accepted for consideration a draft on the nationalization of Russian objects on the territory of Ukraine

The cabinet of ministers of Ukraine has compiled a list of 903 objects on the territory of our country. Each of these assets belongs to the aggressor country, and in accordance with the law on the expropriation of the property of Russia and its citizens of April 2022, these 903 objects will be transferred to the state ownership of Ukraine.

"The prime minister said earlier that they have prepared a list in which 903 objects belong directly to the Russian Federation as a state. I think this list was approved by the National Security and Defense Council with some minor changes. The president's statement that the Verkhovna Rada should vote on the bill on nationalization refers precisely to this decision. There is a special procedure and a separate mechanism, adopted in April by a special law on the forced alienation of the property rights of the Russian Federation and its residents," Roksolana Podlasa, people's deputy of Ukraine.

The list includes the plant Energomashspetsstal in the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. The enterprise is 92% owned by an offshore company in Cyprus, which the Russian Rosatom controls. The same Rosatom conducts criminal activities on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The list also includes the chain of perfume shops BROCARD, 100% owned by an offshore company, the ultimate owner of which is the Ministry of industry of Russia.

After the nationalization of each object, they become the state's property, which will then decide what to do with these objects: continue to receive profit, or transfer them for privatization, or lease, and so on.
