Ukraine Plans to Enter the Top-5 European Countries with the Largest Share of Clean Energy by 2035

The minister of energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko took part in a meeting of the partnership in Warsaw

The partnership aims to jointly combat climate change, strengthen the region's energy security, and develop sustainable, reliable, decarbonized energy systems in the P-TECC (Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation) member states. Among the principles of the partnership is a focus on technical, political and investment cooperation with partner countries in Eastern and Central Europe in the field of energy.

"Strengthening energy security and effectively tackling climate change are common goals for Ukraine and Europe. We expect that by 2035 Ukraine will enter the top 5 European countries with the largest share of clean energy," said Herman Galushchenko.

The minister noted that the integration of the Ukrainian and European energy markets is a mutually beneficial process that will contribute to the diversification of electricity supply routes, increase the flexibility and sustainability of Europe's energy system and contribute to its decarbonization.
