Changing approaches in the food system, including school nutrition, is a topical issue for the whole world, and it is one of the main initiatives of the UN Summit on Food Systems.
This was stated by deputy minister of economy of Ukraine Taras Kachka during a public discussion "National Dialogue. Transformation of food systems: the Ukrainian context ", the next stage which took place, on September 2.
Taras Vysotskyi, first deputy minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine, Olga Shevchenko, deputy head of the state food and consumer service of Ukraine, FAO UN experts, representatives of business and relevant public associations took part in the discussion of today's topic "The role of balanced nutrition in the modern food system of Ukraine".
In particular, participants discussed access to healthy food for all categories of the population, sustainable consumption, changes in gastronomic culture, reduction of food and food waste losses, food safety, recovery of HoReCa after a pandemic and more.
