Ukraine has proposed partnering with the United Arab Emirates to create joint agro hubs—integrated complexes for crop storage, processing, and export support. The concept envisions modern elevators and warehouses, cold-chain infrastructure, quality labs, and rail/port links to move grain, oilseeds, and food products efficiently to Middle East and North Africa markets.
The initiative would combine UAE investment and technology with Ukrainian production capacity, focusing on:
-
expanding storage and drying capacity to reduce post-harvest losses;
-
local processing (flour, oils, protein meals) to raise value added before export;
-
reliable logistics corridors with transparent digital tracking;
-
long-term supply contracts and halal/quality certification for GCC buyers.
Kyiv positions the hubs as part of broader food-security cooperation, offering project sites near key rail junctions and ports, streamlined permits, and public-private partnership options. For Emirati partners, the projects provide stable origination, attractive yields tied to physical assets, and diversification of food supply chains.
