The Ministry of foreign affairs of Ukraine immediately reacted to the tragedy in Israel and the violation of territorial integrity by invaders from the Gaza Strip. On behalf of all Ukrainians, the MFA condemns Hamas and supports Israel's right to protection.
"Ukraine strongly condemns the ongoing terrorist attacks against Israel, including rocket attacks against the civilian population in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. We express our support for Israel in its right to defend itself and its people," wrote the Ministry.
The Gaza Strip invaded Israeli cities, killed about 100 soldiers, wounded 22 civilians, and launched a massive missile strike. There were bombings in Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Yavna and Kfar Aviv, and an air alert throughout Israel. The country's defence minister, Yoav Gallant, said Hamas had started the war, not the war operation. But the fight against the enemy is in all areas of penetration of the invaders.
"Hamas has conducted a combined operation involving rocket fire and terrorist infiltration into Israeli territory. The IDF will protect the people of the State of Israel, and the terrorist organisation Hamas will pay a very high price," IDF.
Ukraine urged all citizens in Israel to follow the recommendations of local authorities. There is no info about the affected citizens of Ukraine yet.
