Ukraine Receives DOK-ING MV-4 Demining System from Croatia

Ukraine has been gifted a DOK-ING MV-4 robotic demining system by Croatia, as announced during the “Globsec Forum” international conference held in Prague, Czech Republic

The certificate for this system was presented to Ukrainian representatives by Croatia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Ivan Anushych, along with officials from the manufacturing company.

Key Points:

  • Scale of the Issue: Approximately 26% of Ukraine's territories are currently mined due to the ongoing conflict. The demining process is both time-consuming and costly, necessitating significant international support.

  • Croatia's Contribution: Croatia's donation of the DOK-ING MV-4 is a critical contribution to Ukraine's demining efforts. Ivan Anushych emphasized the importance of international collaboration in addressing this massive challenge.

  • DOK-ING MV-4 Features:

    • Lightweight Robotic System: The DOK-ING MV-4 is a versatile demining system that can be easily transported by truck, plane, helicopter, or in a standard 20′ GP container.
    • Front Equipment: The machine is equipped with an anti-mine cutter, anti-mine plow, segment roller, bulldozer blade, and a clamp for obstacle destruction.
    • Rear Equipment: It also features a bucket for moving soil, a forklift, and a crane-manipulator.
  • Proven Effectiveness: The MV-4 has demonstrated its efficiency in real combat situations. It is used for mechanical soil preparation, demining, territory inspection, cleaning, and searching for buried objects.

This gift from Croatia represents a significant step in helping Ukraine address the dangerous and extensive issue of landmines, highlighting the ongoing international support for the country in its time of need.
