Government officials, business associations and economic experts will meet in Kyiv on July 6 for the forum “Ukraine’s Recovery: European Integration and Institutional Reforms.” The event is designed to produce a shared view of the economic and tax changes required for recovery and fulfillment of Ukraine’s international commitments.
Two working sessions
Participants will discuss economic policy, taxation and institutional reforms rather than limit the program to general reconstruction statements. The goal is to identify priorities that can support investment, enterprise development and alignment with European rules.
Government and business at one table
Expected speakers represent the ministries responsible for the economy and finance, parliamentary committees on taxation, local government and social policy, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and taxpayer organizations. This mix gives businesses a channel to test proposals against fiscal and legislative constraints.
Organizers and international support
The forum is organized by the National SME Business Coalition and the Ukrainian Business Council with support from the Center for International Private Enterprise. The Economic Expert Platform is the analytical partner, and online participation requires registration.
What a useful outcome would look like
The practical value will depend on whether the discussions produce sequenced reforms, responsible institutions and measurable deadlines. Investors need predictable taxation, transparent administration and a clear connection between European integration commitments and the operating conditions of companies in Ukraine.
