Ukraine Surpasses NATO Standards Implementation, Says Deputy Defense Minister Gavrilyuk

As of early 2024, Ukraine has successfully implemented 309 NATO standards, surpassing the adoption rate of some member states from the Alliance’s recent expansion, according to Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Ivan Gavrylyuk, in an interview with Ukrinform.

Out of the 219 standards set for implementation by 2025, Ukraine has already introduced 186. Additionally, the country has voluntarily implemented another 123 standards. Gavrylyuk noted that these standards primarily concern military management and criteria for the operation of weapons and military equipment.

The lieutenant general also highlighted the progress made in 2023 towards developing national standards for the life cycle management system of military equipment, aligning with key NATO standards. This significant achievement reflects Ukraine's commitment to meeting NATO standards and enhancing its defense capabilities.
