This initiative, as reported by the Ministry of Economy, is expected to attract over UAH 1.5 billion in investments over the next three years.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the integration of these parks into the Register of Industrial Parks and the formation of the State Office for the Development of Industrial Parks during a government meeting on March 29. The "Dniester" park, covering 17.2 hectares, is anticipated to create 265 jobs in the processing industry, focusing on the production of paper, paper products, processing of plant products, and other compatible activities.
On the other hand, the "Galitsia" park will span 19.8 hectares and is projected to generate up to 1,000 jobs, primarily in the production of building materials. This includes manufacturing with clay, cement, lime, gypsum mixtures, and products made from concrete, gypsum, and cement.
Investors are planning a diverse range of activities within these parks, including the production of machinery and equipment, processing of industrial and household waste, scientific and technical work, and the development of enterprises focused on alternative energy and energy conservation.
The 2024 state budget of Ukraine has allocated UAH 1 billion for the first time to support the infrastructure development of industrial parks, signaling the government's commitment to fostering industrial growth and job creation through strategic investments in key sectors.
