On May 30, Slovak defense minister Yaroslav Nagy announced the transfer of 155 mm self-propelled howitzers to the Ukrainian front. It is known that this military equipment is Slovak-made. In 2018, the state ordered 25 howitzers from defense enterprises: in 2021, the first of them began to enter the defense balance of Slovakia, and in 2022, 8 of them will be transferred to service in Ukraine. The approximate amount of one Zuzana 2 is approximately €7 million apiece.
Last month, Ukraine received an S-3 air defense battalion from Slovakia in exchange for a Patriot battalion from the United States.
We remind you that Slovakia also provides its production facilities to repair Ukrainian military equipment damaged in the battles against Russia.
