On May 15, Jens Stoltenberg gave an interview at the official conference. During the conversation, the NATO secretary general announced the possible victory of Ukraine. He supported this statement with reliable facts. The first one is that the Russian troops failed to capture Kyiv. Recall that Moscow at the beginning of the offensive spoke about blitzkrieg. The second is that now the Russian military is leaving the Kharkiv region just as a month ago left Kyiv. The occupiers begin to retreat as soon as the Ukrainian army counterattacks.
He also urged the alliance not to forget about the war. The truth is that many are already used to talking about Ukraine, dead bodies, and rape. But the world public should not perceive such news as a habit, because support is so waning. The disappearance of support entails the seizure of Ukraine and other countries to which Russia is already threatening "denazification".
"Ukrainians are courageously defending their homeland. The Allies have provided billions of dollars of security assistance to Ukraine to help them do so. NATO is ready to continue supporting Ukraine in its defense and long-term recovery from the war. In particular, it will affect our future position regarding Russia too," said the NATO Secretary General.
Thus, according to Jens Stoltenberg, Ukraine is not giving way to brazen aggression by Russia. Moreover, the NATO secretary general believes that the Ukrainian defenders are capable of winning the Russian-Ukrainian war.
