Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal expresses gratitude and anticipates continued assistance for energy sector modernization

The Energy Support Fund of Ukraine has accumulated about €700 million from international partners to aid in the repair and modernization of the country's energy sector. This announcement was made by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a recent government meeting.

"I am grateful to our international partners for their unprecedented solidarity," Shmyhal stated. "It is thanks to our friends and allies that we receive the necessary means for repairs and modernization of the energy sector. We expect that the assistance will continue in the future. Ukraine's needs remain enormous, and the challenges to our energy industry persist."

The funds are earmarked for critical repairs and upgrades to Ukraine's energy infrastructure, aiming to enhance resilience and efficiency ahead of the upcoming winter season.

In addition to the contributions to the Energy Support Fund, the Lithuanian government has approved the allocation of €13 million to finance reconstruction projects in Ukraine. These funds will be directed to the Lithuanian Fund for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid, supporting initiatives focused on rebuilding and strengthening key infrastructure.
