This figure represents a decrease of 3.185 million tons, or approximately 1.09 times less than the previous year's exports.
The preliminary data, which was last updated on March 29, indicated that exports had reached 34.593 million tons. Detailed figures reveal that Ukraine's wheat exports stood at 13.842 million tons, marking an increase of 830,000 tons compared to last year.
Furthermore, Ukrainian farmers have exported 1.962 million tons of barley and 1,000 tons of rye. However, corn exports have seen a significant decrease, totaling 18.765 million tons, which is 3.674 million tons (or about 1.19 times) less than the previous year.
The country has also exported 79.3 thousand tons of flour (equivalent to 105.7 thousand tons in grain terms), a reduction of 36.6 thousand tons or 1.46 times compared to the previous year.
This year's export rate of agricultural products in the first half of the 2023/24 marketing year is 17% lower than last year, reflecting the challenges and adjustments in Ukraine's agricultural sector amidst ongoing global and regional developments.
